Safely work through traumatic experiences
I help people like you to find freedom after traumatic experiences. You might not think that’s possible, but it is.
Trauma can have such a massive impact on your life, your physical body, your sense of self, your mind and feelings. It can leave you thinking the world isn’t a safe place, and even your body isn’t a safe place. The knock-on effect to relationships, sleep, work and all aspects of life can be devastating – it can feel like you’re surviving instead of living or thriving.
Trauma can include, but isn’t limited to:
- Childhood abuse
- Car crash
- Sexual assault and rape
- Near death experience
- Birth trauma
- Witnessing a traumatic event
- Bullying
- Death of a loved one
- Everyday traumatic experiences
The science behind trauma
When we experience things that make us feel unsafe or fear for our lives, the memory often doesn’t get processed properly. We don’t want to remember it happening, so we don’t file it away in the usual way.
What does this mean for you? The traumatic experience can intrude into the present like it is happening now and feels like things are unsafe. Flashbacks and nightmares can force you to constantly re-live your trauma, so there’s no escape; no ‘normal life’. Physically, your body (nervous system) might respond like you’re still in danger now, even though it is over.
How I can help
I can help you to reconnect with your body and teach your nervous system to feel safe again. Slowly and safely, we work together to file the memory away in the past, where it should be. You won’t forget it, but you can feel safe and able to live a normal life again.
You might not know where to start or how to express what happened to you. Most people don’t need to talk through what happened or re-live what happened in order to be free from it. Healing from trauma is more about helping your body to feel safe now and to know that it is over. You might want to tell your story and talk about what happened, and that’s okay, too, but it isn’t necessary to find freedom from the past.

It can be incorporated into therapy sessions or it can be done as a standalone therapy taking just a couple of sessions.
A Rewind package costs £170 and includes an introductory session, a Rewind therapy session and a follow up session.
